Paris MOU bans tanker that skipped repair yard

The Paris MOU port state control group has barred a tanker that failed to call at a repair yard following a detention.

The 2,200-dwt Rawan (built 1995) was detained in Limassol, Cyprus, on 23 April and left the port on 25 July.

But it failed to call at the designated repair yard in Alexandria, Egypt, as agreed, Paris MOU said.
