Pantheon Tankers of Greece is said to have sold its oldest VLCC in a transaction which brokers believe provides a strong indicator for asset values.
Market sources indicate the company has sold the 305,700-dwt Astro Chorus (built 2001).
A price in the region of $21.5m is being suggested for the DSME-built tanker, which was first flagged as a sales candidate this summer.
