Pacific Carriers Ltd (PCL) has signed up for more MR tanker newbuildings at STX Offshore & Shipbuilding.
Industry sources said the Singaporean-owned shipping company has ordered two 50,000-dwt product tankers at the Chinhae-based yard, bringing its total on order there to five.
One shipbuilding source said PCL's latest newbuildings are options it held at the South Korean shipyard after ordering a trio there last December.
