Norway's OSM Maritime Group founder and chairman Bjorn Tore Larsen is back at the helm of the company.
He will become chief executive from 4 March, the shipmanager said.
The controlling shareholder previously held the position up to 2013.
The company was set up in 1989 and now has 11,000 staff running more than 500 ships.
