Odfjell has added another point to its compass expansion strategy with a dip into the second-hand market.
Oslo-listed Odfjell has bought the 33,600-dwt Argent Eyebright (built 2009), it told investors today.
It has paid $25.5m for the Kitanihon-built tanker, which it has had on charter from Santoku Shipping of Japan since January.
“The purchase is in line with Odfjell's fleet renewal strategy,” the owner said.
