Ocean Tankers has emerged as the buyer of Vermont UM’s 5,000-dwt products tanker Angel Sun (built 2006, renamed Marine Cougar), the 6,500-dwt products tanker Angel Star (built 2012, renamed Marine Lion) and the 6,800-dwt products tanker Ansheng (built 2012, renamed Marine Tiger) following an auction held in Singapore during October.
A fourth Vermont UM tanker, the 7,000-dwt Angel Moon (built 2011), was sold at the same time to Equatorial Marine Fuel Management, a Singaporean bunker tanker player, who has renamed it Sea Serenity.
