NYK Line of Japan is said to have sold one of its older medium range product tankers.
It has offloaded the 46,000-dwt Pacific Rainbow (built 2008), shipbrokers say.
Rumours of the sale first arose a couple of weeks ago, with the latest reports during the past few days suggesting a price of $16.1m has been secured.
A Greek owner, who has yet to be identified, is said to have bought the ship.
