The Japanese owner will use the 300,000–dwt VLCC Taizan (built2002) to deliver the volumes to Thai Oil, which owns one of the largestrefineries in the South East Asian country.
In a statement NYK did not reveal the terms of the deal forthe vessel which has recently been operating in the spot market.
The pair first established a venture in February 2011to jointly own the 280,000-dwt Tenyo (built 2000) which Thai Oil agreed to charter for 10 years.
