He takes over from Claus Thornberg who is stepping downonly eight months after taking up the role following the resignation of TommyThomsen.
“Claus Thornberg leaves Nordic Tankers by mutualagreement and will continue with the company during a transition period,” theshipowner said.
Jensen began his career in shipping in 1980 and has held seniorexecutive positions with Eitzen Chemical, Clarkson Shipping Services andOdfjell.
Most recently, he served as chief executive of EitzenChemical and contributed to strengthening the company’s position as a marketleading chemical tanker operator.
