Nordic American Tankers has secured close to $20m from the demolition sale of two of its older suezmaxes, sources suggest.
New York-listed NAT this week announced the sale of two ships which had been previously placed on the market.
It was always suspected the pair would be scrapped and now further details are emerging.
European scrap brokers say the 153,000-dwt Nordic Fighter (built 1998) and the 157,000-dwt Nordic Jupiter (built 1998) have been sold as is in Singapore for $446.50
