Angeliki Frangou, the principal and chief executive of shipping giant Navios Maritime Partners, said on Thursday she expects sanctions to continue affecting large parts of the oil trade, even if ongoing conflicts die down.
“In our view, the resolution of the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East may involve significant sanctions on oil-producing nations, materially impacting world trade,” the Greek owner said in its fourth-quarter earnings report.
