Libya’s Marsa el Brega port remains open despite media claims that fighting between government troops and rebel has forced it to shut, TradeWinds has been told.
Heavy bombing has, however, forced nearby Ras Lanuf to shut its port as shipbroker Braemar estimated closure of crude taps in the country could tie up the equivalent of 23 VLCC roundtrips in additional tonne miles.
