German terminal operator Oiltanking has acquired land for building a new marine terminal in the US Gulf Coast for handling dirty and clean tankers.
Oiltanking North America said the site in Texas City along the Galveston Bay will house the Texas Independent Deepwater Expansion (TIDE) terminal.
TIDE will include a finger pier with two deep-water docks up to 14 metres (45 feet) draught.
