Brokers are reporting rising VLCC rates once more after a long slump to all-time lows.
UK shipbroker Clarksons said the Atlantic market is again leading the way, with fresh inquiries hitting the market daily.
The company’s investment bank, Clarksons Platou Securities, said in a note on Wednesday: “For the first time in a long time, rates have moved upwards.”
Analysts Frode Morkedal, Omar Nokta and Even Kolsgaard assessed earnings for eco ships at $5,300 per day on average, up from $4,000 on Tuesday.
