One of Greece’s largest VLCC owners has joined the list of companies scrapping tankers in a weak market.
The 287,000-dwt Shinyo Kannika (built 2001) is reported to have been sold for demolition in Bangladesh.
The VLCC, owned by Navios MLP Navios Maritime Midstream Partners, has fetched a price in the region of $450 per ldt, shipbroking sources say.
