UK tanker owner and pools giant Navig8 Group has quietly expanded its fleet with an order for MRs in China.
The group’s investment company Navig8 Topco Holdings reveals in a filing that four IMO type 2 ships were contracted earlier this year for delivery between March 2024 and January 2025.
No further details were given, but UK shipbroker Clarksons believes the company has a total of six 50,000-dwt MRs under construction at New Times Shipbuilding after contracts were signed in April.
