Navig8 has confirmed its shipowning resurgence having built up a fleet of 16 product tankers at New Times Shipbuilding in China.
Eight MR units and eight LR2 ships are listed on the Navig8 website within the MR Tanker and Alpha8 pools, respectively.
The additions appear to reflect a commitment to rebuild an Alpha8 pool that suffered heavy losses from defections to merger-partner Scorpio Tankers last year, and a new phase of asset ownership by the Nicolas Busch and Gary Brocklesby-led company.
