The Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha-owned 155,641-cbm Tangguh Foja(built 2008) docked today at the facility in Niigata Prefecture and beganunloading, Japanese oil and gas producer Inpex said in a statement.
Inpex operates the terminal which will import volumes fromIndonesia’s Ichthys LNG project next year under a recently signed supply contractwith compatriot utility Chubu Electric Power.
Under the deal Chubu is obliged to deliver 1 million tonneper annum (mtpa) of LNG over a five-year period.
