Greek shipowner Nicholas G. Moundreas has sold one of his three VLCCs built around the turn of the century at a time that prices of older tankers are heating up along with a strong winter market.
Moundreas’s NGM Energy is the latest to capture the upturn in the value of older tankers, which has spread across the crude space.
Shipbrokers are reporting NGM to have sold the 309,700-dwt Alter Ego I (built 2001), with some suggesting a storage buyer has purchased the ship.
