Nigerian pirates have abandoned a Chinese fishing vessel used as a mothership to launch at least four attacks in the Gulf of Guinea in February.
The tuna boat Lianpengyu 809 was hijacked on 6 February, but has now been dumped south of Rivers State in Nigeria.
The gunmen kidnapped 10 crew from the 40-metre trawler: six Chinese, three Indonesians and a Gabonese national.
