Add another estimate on Russia's tanker needs onto the pile.
Gibson Shipbrokers said on Friday that it counted 366 aframax, LR2 and suezmax tankers loading at Russian ports in the last six months, 55% of which are from vessels controlled by owners from the European Union, G7 or otherwise allied countries.
The count suggests more than 200 ships will be vacating Russian trading come December, when the EU's oil embargo kicks in, leaving a massive tonnage shortfall.
