Danish bunker group Monjasa said it is saving its customers refuelling time in the Panama Canal by deploying a new tanker.
In what the company called a "pioneering move", the 8,800-dwt Monjasa Supplier (built 2010) is enabling loading for the first time at the outer anchorage at Cristobal on the Caribbean side of the key waterway.
The tanker has been brought in from Dubai to boost capacity.
