Scrapping is the key to a sustainable recovery for the tanker sector, ADNOC Logistics & Services CEO Abdulkareem Al Masabi told delegates at this week’s TMS tanker conference in Dubai.
Al Masabi, who heads the entity created when the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company’s gas carrier and tanker and general shipping divisions were merged, said that the tanker industry remained highly volatile and there were no clear signs of any major improvement in the near term.
