Shifting refinery patterns will switch tanker demand from crude vessels to product carriers in 2023, French shipbroker BRS Group said.
This will be particularly evident in the Middle East, the Paris shop said in its monthly report.
“Although we forecast both crude and clean tanker demand to grow next year, the movement of refining towards the wellhead will see crude tanker demand replaced by clean tanker demand,” BRS added.
