Indian tanker and bulker owner Mercator has improved third-quarter net profit as revenue grew.



The Mumbai-listed company said earnings to 31 December were INR 260m ($5.28m), against INR 15.5m in 2010.



Its fleet of tankers, bulkers, dredgers and FSOs brought in revenue of INR 11.14bn, against INR 7.75bn the year before.



The company also has a separately-listed Singapore subsidiary.
