Italian owner Marnavi has made what appears to be its first Chinese newbuilding order.
The company confirmed to TradeWinds it has contracted a firm 14,000-dwt chemical/product carrier at Wuchang Shipbuilding in China, with an option attached.
Brokers said the first ship is due for delivery in November 2019, with the other due in 2020 if declared. No price was revealed.
