VLCCs and other sanctions-compliant tankers are set to see big rate gains after the US struck a huge blow against the shadow fleet carrying Russian oil exports.
Washington said on Friday that it was sanctioning a further 183 ships controlled by companies operating in the trade.
These were largely tankers and LNG carriers, including dozens controlled by or linked to Russian state owner Sovcomflot.
