Norway's Kristian Gerhard Jebsen Skipsrederi (KGJS) appears to have shifted its strategy as regards to how long it owns and operates tankers before selling them.
Until recently the Bergen-based company and its subsidiary SKS Tankers Holding has tended to retain ships until they are 20 years old.
In February, there were first signs of a slightly changed strategy.
Brokers reported that a 17-year-old suezmax, the Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries-built 159,000-dwt SKS Saluda (built 2003) had been sold to an undisclosed buyer for a firm price of $22m.
