Kristian Gerhard Jebsen Skipsrederi (KGJS) has scored a firm rate for two of its LR2 product tankers after striking a time-charter deal with trader Vitol.
The deal sees the Norwegian tanker owner stray from a chartering strategy that is usually focused on the spot market.
Several European tanker brokers said the company has chartered the 119,000-dwt SKS Delta (built 2010) and SKS Demini (built 2012) to Vitol for a year at $35,000 per day each.
