The Kristian Gerhard Jebsen company SKS Tankers has sold one of its two remaining combined carriers (OBOs) that were built before 2000.
Demolition brokers in Europe say the 109,000-dwt Tiete (built 1999) has gone for green recycling into India for $425 per ldt or $8m.
The company tends to keep its ships till they are 20 years old.
SKS Tiete is due for special survey this year and has been on the market for some weeks.
