A New York federal court has given formal approval to SCF Group's $215m purchase of the entire fleet of Primorsk International Shipping.
The decision by US Bankruptcy Judge Martin Glenn was made public less than a week after he gave provisional approval to the deal.
The approval smooths the path for the Primorsk, the shipowning arm of Russia's Primorsk Shipping (Prisco), to finalise the sale to its largest compatriot competitor, which is also known as Sovcomflot.
