Kyoei Tanker of Japan is set to test the present price levels in the crude tanker market with the sale of a veteran VLCC.
The shipowner, which is renewing its fleet with an order in its homeland, is set to offload its oldest VLCC, shipbrokers say.
Offers are expected early next week on the 300,000-dwt Kai Ei (built 2004) following inspections by a number of parties after the ship came to market a couple of weeks ago.
