Japan’s Meiji Shipping Group has announced the sale of a second VLCC sale this year after concluding a deal reportedly with a Chinese buyer.
In a note to investors, Meiji said it had sold a ship controlled through its Panamanian shipowning subsidiary Esteem Maritime for $29.5m.
It said the sale was concluded as part of its fleet modernisation plans.
