Intertanko has taken governments to task for their lack of action over the contaminated bunkers scandal that is currently plaguing the shipping industry.
The tanker owner group claimed that “hundreds of ships” have suffered damage caused by contaminated bunkers supplied over the past five months.
So far, it saijd, there is no sign of any coordinated effort to “control and remove” such contaminated fuels from the market.
