India could be about to replace China as the centre of the world’s oil demand growth according to a growing consensus of opinion.
In the most recent medium-term oil market report, the IEA describes Indian demand outlook as “particularly favorable”.
The IEA predicts that 1.1m barrels per day (b/d) of demand forecast to be added to 2021, an average annual increase of 4.2%.
