Major Indian refiners have not placed purchase orders for Iranian crude for November, according to local news reports.
With US sanctions of Iran's oil exports set to take effect from 4 November and President Donald Trump bearing down on India to cut off trade ties with the Islamic Republic, it seems likely that Iran may lose one of its top customers.
