Hyundai Merchant Marine is believed to be the latest owner to scrap a VLCC amidst a flurry of demolition activity and the promise of more to come.
Multiple shipbroking sources say the 301,000-dwt tanker Hyundai Sun (built 1998) has now been sold as is in Singapore.
A price of between $440 and $447 per ldt has been placed on the tanker, which HMM has been circulating for demolition during the past few weeks.
