South Korean owner HMM looks poised to pull off a big takeover deal by capturing major domestic tanker, bulker and gas carrier player SK Shipping.
Investment banking sources cited by Business Korea say SK’s owner, private equity giant Hahn & Co, has selected rival HMM as the preferred bidder.
HMM is set to conduct due diligence until the middle of March, before finalising a deal, the report added.
