Danish tanker owner Herning Shipping has trimmed its fleet again with its third sale of a small chemical and product tanker this year.
The company sold the 2,900-dwt epoxy-coated Sara Theresa (built 2003) to an undisclosed buyer for $4.5m, which is a slightly higher than expected for the Hyundai Samho-built ship.
Herning chief executive Per Sylvester Jensen confirms the deal, describing the reason for selling as “operational”.
