Nordic American Tankers CEO Herbjorn Hansson has criticised those who comment on his company as showing a lack of shipping knowledge.
And he defended the age of his suezmax fleet as irrelevant to the service the owner provides.
“Analysts, bloggers and others are not our customers - the oil companies are,” he said.
“Some commentators make statements about the age of our fleet.
