As the market looks to see what changes a new leader will bring to Heidmar, the Connecticut company already has undergone some fundamental shifts from the structure that launched it as a pools power in the early 2000s.
Heidmar’s cornerstone Star Tankers pool has dwindled to a half-dozen panamaxes, while its second-oldest pool, Dorado Tankers, folded earlier this year due to low numbers, market sources confirm this week.
