A VLCC newbuilding controlled by the Hartree Maritime Partners is under negotiation for a resale at a hot price.
Tanker market sources close to the vessel said the 300,000-dwt, scrubber-fitted VLCC, which is due for delivery from DSME in January, is on subjects to South Korean shipowner Pan Ocean at $107.5m.
There was confusion in the market Monday as to whether the deal on the newbuilding had stalled at this price but the reports created a buzz that levels for VLCC resales are rising.
