Tanker giant Hafnia has revealed a potentially massive boost to MR tankers beyond anything so far seen from Red Sea disruption.
With increasing numbers of vessels rerouting away from the Houthi attacks in the region, the longer voyage around the Cape of Good Hope is adding an extra 15 days from Asia to the west, an executive explained.
This is a 57% increase, supporting product tanker demand and tonne-miles.
