Environment activist organisation Greenpeace has staged protests against three tankers carrying Russian oil in the Baltic.
Caught up in the peaceful protest over the weekend were vessels of Russia’s Sovcomflot and Greece’s TMS Tankers and Delta Tankers.
Greenpeace staged the protests as it called on Europe to ban all fossil fuel imports from Russia.
Using high-speed amphibious rigid inflatable boats, kayaks and swimmers, activists from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Netherlands and Germany protested in front of Sovcomflot’s 74,600-dwt LR1-type product tanker SCF Baltica (built 2011) and the TMS Tankers-operated 113,000-dwt aframax tanker Waikiki (built 2017).
