A small Greek-managed tanker boarded by Iranian military forces near the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday was not detained and has since re-emerged in United Arab Emirates (UAE) waters.
Vessel trackers show the 8,100-dwt Wila (built 1997) at Khor Fakkan anchorage.
Maritime security consultants Dryad Global initially reported that the Iranian forces, who boarded the ship, may have seized it as well.
