Indian shipowner Great Eastern Shipping is set to continue cleaing out its vintage suezmax tankers and is seeking buyer for two 19-year-old units, which are the company’s oldest vessels in this segment.
Great Eastern is seeking bids for the -dwt Samsung-built sisterships Jag Lateef and Jag Lakshita (both built 2000). They are expected to fetch $11.5m to $12m each.
The tankers are expected to be sold for further trading, given the firm freight market.
