India's Great Eastern Shipping has budgeted $50m to comply with IMO fuel and ballast water rules over the next four years.
CFO G Shivakumar told the Hindu Business Line that it has earmarked about $20m for fitting scrubbers on seven larger ships, mostly crude tankers, by December 2019, and $30m to install ballast water treatment systems between 2019 and 2024 on the whole fleet.
