February has been a good month for product tankers.
Spot earnings for the ships have shot up across the market, with benchmark LR routes leading the way.
The Baltic Exchange on Friday said an LR2 sailing from the Middle East to Japan has added nearly $37,100 since the start of the month and $25,200 over the last week, rising from $10,000 per day on 1 February to $47,100 per day on Friday.
