Golar LNG Energy has beat off competition from two other heavyweights to virtually seal a $500m contract in Indonesia.
The John Fredriksen-controlled shipowner looks set to convert one of its LNG ships after being named the preferred bidder in the PT Nusantara Regas tender.
Naming of the top bid has been somewhat delayed after TradeWinds reported in August that Golar was joined by Hoegh LNG and Excelerate Energy in the three-company short list for the job.
