German Tanker Shipping (GTS) has placed a rare newbuilding order in China.
Shipbuilding sources familiar with the Bremen-based owner said it has ordered up to six ice-class 40,000-dwt product carriers at Xiamen Shipbuilding.
The deal was for four firm vessels plus options for two additional ships.
